Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo is the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-838 and a member of the . Once was executed by , Mordo received the title of Sorcerer Supreme which gained him Strange's spot in the Illuminati. During the , an from Earth-616 and multiversal traveler ended up on Earth-838. Fearing this Strange could be as dangerous as his universe's Doctor Strange, Mordo imprisoned Chavez at the and sentenced Strange to be judged by the Illuminati. However, , her , arrived and massacred the Quarters, killing all members with the exception of Mordo. Mordo tried to finally kill the alternate Strange to prevent him from escaping, but he was unsuccessful.
