Hondo Ohnaka was a    who led the  on the   of  during the . During the war, he often came into contact with the Jedi, such as , , and Ahsoka Tano. Although it survived for the duration of the war, his gang was dissolved with the rise of the Galactic Empire, after which Hondo cast adrift as a small-time pirate and smuggler. While on his own, he became a frequent ally for the growing rebellion against the Empire, providing critical aid and intelligence at pivotal moments. He worked closely with the crew of the Ghost, becoming close to Ezra Bridger. Following the defeat of the Empire, Ohnaka made an attempt to go legitimate with Ohnaka Transport Solutions on Batuu. When the Resistance established a base on Batuu, Ohnaka aided them against the First Order. Decades after the fall of the Empire, a text known as the Book of Hondo would be attributed to the famous captain.
