Mjr. Carol Danvers, (Kree name; Car-El) aka , formerly , is a former American astronaut and  test pilot, who worked for . She became head of security at N.A.S.A., when it was infiltrated by a  soldier named . She was accidentally subjected to the  and  on a genetic level becoming a / Hybrid superhuman warrior. Calling herself Ms. Marvel, she established herself as one of the most prominent heroes on Earth. She later became a member of the Avengers, "Earth's Mightiest Heroes". She was later put in a coma by the Mutant Rogue who absorbed her powers. When she recovered she regained her powers as Binary. Carol went on to adopt the mantle of Captain Marvel for herself.
